I had an Amazon package delivered yesterday. I know Royal Mail tend to bring parcels inside and leave them by your door, but this was Yodel and they stupidly left the parcel on top of the post boxes by the main entrance, instead of leaving a card for me to go and pick it up. They left the parcel at 2pm and when I got home at 4pm it was gone. I’ve complained to Yodel and said that this isn’t a secure area for them to leave items. Luckily Amazon are resending the items for me.
As I don’t want Yodel to leave the package in the open again I’ve temporarily left a note for them on my post box.
But I wondered if it would be possible to put a permanent notice by the post boxes to tell delivery companies not to leave packages there. I know that in theory they should know that the area isn’t a secure place to leave things but items get left quite often on top of the post boxes where anyone can take them.
